Who is responsible
VU Custom acts as the controller of personal information collected through our website, our marketing, and our direct relationship with you.
We act as a processor when a brand uses our platform to offer customization to its own customers. In that case the brand — not VU Custom — is responsible for that information, and its privacy policy governs. See Section 11.3.
What we collect
Contact and business details you provide, information collected automatically as you use our website, and information from our partners and advertising platforms.
Why we collect it
To provide and improve our services, respond to inquiries, send marketing communications, measure our advertising, secure our systems, and meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
Service providers, our affiliates, advertising and analytics partners, professional advisors, parties to a corporate transaction, and public authorities where legally required.

1. Responsible entity
VU Custom (“VU Custom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the processing of personal information described in this statement and acts as the controller of that information, unless expressly stated otherwise.
This statement does not apply where we act as a processor on behalf of our customers. When a brand uses the VU Custom platform to offer product customization to its own end users, that brand determines how end-user information as well as customization configurations, order details, and any personal information contained in them, is collected and used. The brand is the controller; VU Custom processes that information according to the brand’s instructions and our agreement with them.
We are not responsible for and have no control over the privacy practices of our customers, which may differ from those described here. If your information was submitted to us by a brand using our services and you wish to exercise your rights, please contact that brand directly. See Section 11.3.

- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution
- Referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, navigation paths
- Date and time of access and connection information
- Interaction data including clicks, scroll depth, mouse movement, and form engagement
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3.3 Session recording and heatmap technology
We use session recording and heatmap technology on our website. This technology captures a reconstruction of your visit which may include: pages viewed, mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and interactions with page elements, so we can understand how visitors use our website and improve it.
Session recordings are configured to mask text entered into form fields. We do not use this technology to collect passwords, payment details, or the contents of what you type.
Where consent is required, this technology operates only after you consent through our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in our website footer.
3.4 Information from other sources
We receive information from advertising and analytics platforms, business contact data providers, and publicly available sources, and may combine it with information we already hold. We use this to identify prospective customers, improve the relevance of our advertising, and keep our records accurate.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use first-party and third-party cookies, tags, pixels, and similar technologies. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

Automated decision-making. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing nor does our website use automated decision-making.
6. Who we share personal information with
We do not sell personal information for money.
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, advertising, email and marketing platforms, CRM, and payment processing, under contracts limiting their use to providing services to us
- Advertising and analytics partners: Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and HubSpot, through the technologies in Section 4. Under some U.S. state privacy laws this may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 11.1 to opt out.
- Affiliates: our corporate affiliates, for the purposes described here
- Professional advisors: lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and bankers
- Parties to a corporate transaction: in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
- Public authorities: where required to comply with law, legal process, or a government, regulatory, or law enforcement request, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights or safety
- Aggregated and de-identified information: we may use and disclose information that does not identify an individual, and will not attempt to re-identify it
Anything you post publicly on our website, communities, or social pages may be viewed by others.
7. International transfers
Personal information may be transferred to and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your own.

8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this statement, or as required by law. We determine retention based on the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm, whether the purpose can be achieved another way, and applicable legal requirements.

Where technical constraints prevent complete deletion, we implement measures to prevent further use.
9. Security
We take organizational, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information from accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for signing out after your sessions.
10. Children
Our website and services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Opting out of targeted advertising. Decline advertising cookies via Cookie Preferences. To opt out using cookie identifiers, you may also enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of your identity.
11.2 How to exercise your rights
Contact us using the details in Section 15. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Please indicate which country and state you reside in.
11.3 Rights relating to end-user information
If a brand uses VU Custom’s platform to offer customization to its customers, we process that end-user information as a processor on that brand’s behalf. The brand is the controller. If your information was submitted to us this way and you wish to exercise your rights, please contact the brand you purchased from directly.
11.4 Marketing preferences
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any marketing message, or by contacting us.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional or service communications related to your existing relationship with us, such as service announcements, billing notices, or security information.
